Since October 1979, UNESCO has enlisted cultural, natural and historical sites. In 1979, seven cultural sites in the Kathmandu Valley are located at 1,350 meters above sea level in the hilly region. Located at an altitude of 110 meters, Chitwan National Park entered the natural site in 1884 and is located in Lumbini at an altitude of 200 meters. It was declared a cultural heritage in the Terai area in 1997. Nepal’s World Heritage sites are spread across 3 different geographical regions. The Sagarmatha National Park from 2,850 to 8,848 m at the summit of Mount Everest was also established as a natural heritage in the Himalayas in 1979.
